On January 28th at RECOMBINANT MEDIA LABS in San Francisco, Richard Devine joined forces with Trevor Wishart for a live performance in 16-channel surround sound. Devine, known for his layered and heavily processed sound, has a new release on Naut Humon's Asphodel/Schematic label entitled Asect / Desect. In true recombinant manner, Devine uses everything he can lay his hands on for sound design and music: "I use Cycling 74's Max/MSP and Pluggo, Logic Audio quite a bit, Reaktor, Supercollider, GRM Tools, CDP, Soundhack, Soundmaker, Bias Peak, Metasynth… Kyma...
