Check out Photonal's music-generated videos on his website. Photonal (aka composer Andrew Purdy) uses Kyma, Logic, and Quartz Composer to map various musical elements such as a kick drum, vocal or pad sweep, to graphic parameters such as dimension, color or rotation in XYZ space to dynamically create image sequences.
