Jean-Edouard Miclot
has created a new blog on sound design, and the first two entries give a detailed, step-by-step look at how he created some amazing sounds in Kyma. The sounds (which you can audition right on the site)—crisp, warm, powerful, human, and sometimes humorous—seem to be inspired by and paying homage to the masters at Pixar and LucasFilm. It's fascinating, fun (and educational too!).
