Question (or Task)
Could someone please help me build an Infinite Sustain Box for guitar or other similar instruments? A sort of 6 string Ebow possibly controlable by a pedal. I've tried using delays but this solution doesn't seem to work. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Solution(s)
Hi Carlos Have you tried delay lines with compressors (at infinite ratio) in their feedback paths. This way you can have a stablized long feedback time. A larger quantity of different delays will help to cover up the comb filtering. It would need some live feedback on off control as it would try to sustain silence which could generate a big noise.

Here are some
Sounds
(under the Effects heading called 'sustain extenders.kym') that I use for extending the decay time on my harp. Maybe you can use one of these as a starting point for what you are doing? They are based on the idea of inverting or negating the amplitude envelope (so you boost the gain as the input dies away).
