Question (or Task)
I am trying to send Midi values to a tool I am building. For example, I would like to use a !KeyNote or a !cc00 value to alternate between different sounds arranged in a Sound Grid. I have no trouble displaying the buttons on the panel and operating it with my mouse, but I would like to use my faderbox to control it. It is not a MotorMix, but Kyma has no trouble displaying it's controller values when asked. Does anyone know a solution? Is it even possible to use CapyTalk in an EditTool?

Solution(s)
You can associate a Tool variable with a MIDI continuous controller (see page 317 of
Kyma X Revealed
for more detail:
Select the variable name
Click Edit
Click Set Value Options
Enter the name of the EventValue (for example: !cc01)
Choose ReadOnly as the style
Click OK
Check "Step when changed"
