When using Kyma X on Windows ME, sometimes the Capybara times out with an error. The timeout sometimes happens when using Stop from the DSP menu (Ctrl+K) when a disk file playback is occurring.
This may be caused by an old or incompatible version of the ASPI software installed on your computer. Kyma uses ASPI on Windows 98SE and Windows ME to communicate with the Kyma FireWire interface.
Try updating to this version of ASPI: aspi_471a2.exe. After the file has been downloaded, run the application to decompress the file into a folder of files called ASPI
. Within the ASPI
folder, you will find an appplication called aspiinst.exe
. Run that application to install the update to the ASPI software.
