MACKIE ONYX 1220 ANALOG MIXER WITH FIREWIRE I/O OPTION

The Onyx is an 18 input stereo mixer that can have an optional FireWire I/O card installed. The FireWire interface can be used to send the 18 inputs to the Pacarana and to receive a stereo signal from the Pacarana to be mixed into the mixer's output.

Using the Onyx on Windows

ALERT! Do not install the Onyx driver or control panel on Windows computers. If you have already installed the driver, remove the software using the uninstall option in the Onyx installer.

Using the Onyx on the Macintosh

No driver installation is necessary for the Macintosh.

IDEA! When the Paca(rana) is turned off (or disconnected from your Macintosh), the Onyx can be used as the audio interface for your Macintosh. When the Paca(rana) is turned on and the the Onyx is selected as its audio interface, the Paca(rana) will take over the Onyx and prevent audio from being transferred between the mixer and the Macintosh.
