DJ of modern progressive house, trance, breaks - dance music (retired). Andrew is also a singer, songwriter, student of music, and of life. Entrepeneur, partner / founder of Comitigate — a loss mitigation, financial restructuring and dispute resolution firm — http://www.comitigate.com (aka day job). Andrew Flint was born 1970 and raised in Southern California. He took piano, vocal and live sound engineering lessons. At 15 he ran the main mixing board for The Coasters at the Del Ray restaurant in Fullerton, CA - and met a very complementary Oprah Winfrey. Musically, he was inspired by groups such as Yaz, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Duran Duran, New Order / Joy Division, Howard Jones, etc - intrigued by electronic / synthesized music - but also influenced by heavy metal and alt rock bands such as Metallica, Dramarama, INXS, Gene Loves Jezebel, The Alarm, U2, Tears for Fears, etc. Lead singer in many bands - one of his first high school groups "Abstract Generation" in 1985 - also played in band with Josh Freese on drums, Ian Nickus on Guitar - heavy metal cover band - lots of fun - especially with Josh and Ian's mega talent. Andrew took a gradual semi-retirement from music 1987-1991 after marriage and kids at 17 years old. Divorced and kids going to college now. Performed and organized DJ and event productions from 2000-2005. Founder of Give Productions / www.giveproductions.com. As a DJ he opened for Paul Van Dyk, Junior Sanchez, Nicholas Bennison, Scott Henry, etc. Retired DJ Aug 2005 and returned to singing, producing music, building home studio since then and writing original and remake tracks.
