Bio: Miguel Gil Ruiz graduated in composition with Summa cum Laude at "Berklee College of Music" . Master in South Indian Classical Music applied to composition at Sweelinck Conservatory (Amsterdam), and Ph.D in course at "Universidad Autónoma" (Madrid) with the study of microtonality and ornamentation in the Debla (flamenco song style).
Prix de Rome in 1994 and "Villa de Madrid" price in 2008.
His classical XX century music has been programmed around Europe and the U.S.A. He is also composing, arranging, performing and producing flamenco, jazz and african music projects. Miguel has worked for cinema, theatre and dance, with companies like the Cuban National Ballet or "Centro Dramático Nacional" (Spain). Former teacher at the "Conservatorio Superior de Oviedo", now teaches at CES don bosco and CES Katarina Gurska. Teacher during one year as a part of an international cooperation project in Indonesia.
