• UnauthorizedBiography: Jim Grater is a composer living in Houston, TX. In a former life, he worked as a television cameraman, audio and video editor in New York City, while studying and composing music in his spare time. He left New York, earning a master's degree in music composition from the University of Virginia in 1996. He was fortunate enough to be able to spend several months in both Paris and Rio de Janeiro before settling in Houston, TX. He now works as a music editor for Alliance Music Publications, a choral music publising company. His latest composition, a collaborative piece for recorder and computer music created with Kyma, was performed by composer/performer Tom Bickley at Domincan University on July 18, 2004.
